Namibian cheetah Sasha dies of kidney infection at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park

It is with great sadness that we report the death of Namibian cheetah Sasha, who passed away due to a kidney infection at Madhya Pradesh’s Kuno National Park.

Sasha was a female cheetah who was brought to Kuno National Park in 2018 as part of a conservation effort to reintroduce the species to the area. She was part of a group of five cheetahs that were brought from Namibia to Kuno National Park in an effort to repopulate the area with the species.

Sasha was the first of the five cheetahs to be released into the wild, and she quickly adapted to her new home. She was known for her friendly nature and was often seen interacting with the other animals in the park.

Unfortunately, Sasha was recently diagnosed with a kidney infection and despite the best efforts of the park’s veterinarians, she passed away.

Sasha’s death is a great loss to the Kuno National Park and to the conservation efforts of the species. She was a beloved member of the park and will be greatly missed.

The Kuno National Park staff have expressed their condolences to Sasha’s family and friends and have vowed to continue their efforts to reintroduce the species to the area.

Sasha’s death is a reminder of the importance of conservation efforts and the need to protect endangered species. We can only hope that her death will serve as a reminder of the fragility of life and the need to protect our planet’s wildlife.
