Over 19,000 SC, ST and OBC students dropped out from central universities in 5 years: Govt

In a shocking revelation, the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) has revealed that over 19,000 Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Other Backward Classes (OBC) students have dropped out from central universities in the last five years.

The data was revealed in response to a question in the Rajya Sabha by BJP MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar. The MHRD stated that the dropout rate of SC, ST and OBC students in central universities was higher than that of general category students.
