Vodafone-Idea reveals eligible Xiaomi phones for 5G support, but when will it launch 5G in India?

Vodafone-Idea, one of India’s leading telecom operators, has revealed a list of eligible Xiaomi phones that will support 5G services in India. The list includes the Mi 10, Mi 10 Pro, Mi 10T, Mi 10T Pro, Mi 10T Lite, and the Redmi K30 Pro.

However, the company has not yet revealed when it will launch 5G services in India. Vodafone-Idea is currently in the process of upgrading its network infrastructure to support 5G services. The company has already started rolling out 5G-ready equipment in select cities across India.

5G technology promises to revolutionize the way we use the internet. It is expected to offer faster speeds, lower latency, and improved reliability. 5G networks are also expected to enable new use cases such as connected cars, smart cities, and virtual reality.

Vodafone-Idea is not the only telecom operator in India that is gearing up for 5G. Airtel and Reliance Jio are also making preparations to launch 5G services in the country. Airtel has already conducted 5G trials in select cities and is expected to launch 5G services in the near future.

The Indian government is also taking steps to facilitate the rollout of 5G services in the country. The government has recently allocated spectrum for 5G trials and is expected to auction spectrum for commercial 5G services soon.

It remains to be seen when Vodafone-Idea will launch 5G services in India. However, the company’s list of eligible Xiaomi phones is a good indication that it is preparing to launch 5G services in the near future.
